GETTING TO ELSÀSS

The biggest city around is Strasbourg.

From Berlin

There should be a direct train from Berlin to Strasbourg, but it somehow disappeared from DB Navigator. The travel time takes 6 to 7 hours.

The two possible connection are:

  • Berlin - Offenburg by ICE and then Offenburg - Strasbourg by Regio
  • Berlin - Frankfurt(Main) by ICE and then Frankfurt - Strasbourg by ICE or TGV

If you prefer to fly, EasyJet offers direct flights from BER to Strasbourg-Entzheim.

From Lyon

There is a direct TGV to Strasbourg in 3h52.

From Marseille

There is a direct TGV to Strasbourg in 5h32.

From Paris

There are lots of direct TGVs to Strasbourg that take 1h46.

LOCATION

The address of the hut is 156 chemin de la Tour, 67130 Belmont.

GETTING TO THE HUT

The hut is unfortunately not directly accessible by public transport.

Getting there by car

I would recommend to organize yourself to rent a few cars in Strasbourg at the train station or the airport.

If the rental is too pricy, it is also possible to take a regional train from Strasbourg to Barr, my hometown. Fron there, it is 30min drive, so a car can come pick people up.

Getting there by bike

You can also take a regional train to Barr and rent bikes there, there is one shop but you need to book in advance!

The hut is located 20km from Barr, it is hilly and foresty!
